I guess I am non normal, because I truly honey sticking my hands into a beehive. I did some apiculture as a young daughter, and I was so fascinated that I read everything I could about honeybees, including a 900-page book. I so spent my entire life loving bees, and it took me 30 years to finally realize that I could have some of my ain. Why non? Life is also curt, and if something brings u.s. joy, we need to embrace it!

I merely got my new beehives, and yous can spotter me installing the bees into their new homes here: http://youtu.be/S7G7LXAGtxs I am absolutely empty-headed! I accept been going out to the g to sentry the bees come and get in the morning with my cup of tea and in the evening with my glass of wine.

When something new comes into your life-- or you desire it to-- you first have to consider how to make time and infinite for it.

Making Time:

Managing your time is so much nearly clarity and commitment-- having clarity on what yous really want, and beingness committed to doing what it takes to accomplish it. I read well-nigh how much fourth dimension a beekeeping hobby would involve and talked to local beekeepers before I decided to commit. Once committed, making time is all about priorities and choices. I cull non to lookout man television and instead spend fourth dimension researching bee equipment. I cull to tend to my "beek" activities instead of going shopping. I get up early instead of sleeping in, and I utilize my laptop on my treadmill so I can work or larn while I exercise. (See my Guide to Workwalking blog post here!) I have an organized home and work life so that I save more time for fun and important matters. Everything I do that saves time puts a deposit in the "Fun Bank."

Making Room:
Often when you bring in something new, something old must go. In my case, I had a garage cabinet filled with some supplies from a part of my business that is now owned by someone else. It was all simply fine sitting there until I needed the infinite for apiculture equipment, which includes a couple of hats and veils, bee suits, and lots of big wooden boxes and frames. (Pictured here) Information technology was such a pleasure to clean out that cabinet and say adieu to a former chapter in my life-- and say hello to my new bee fun! I donated the supplies to Goodwill® and moved frontwards. What items in your garage, basement, or closets are relics of the past that no longer apply to your life today?

In our online programme and book, we talk near how the purpose of organizing is really to make this time and space for what matters to y'all. Information technology's not near neatness for neatness' sake alone. Your surround should reflect who you lot are at present and who you aspire to become, not serve as a constant reminder of things that are defunct, negative, or counter to your current goals. When you find yourself dreading your organizing projects and maintenance tasks, remember that doing them is clearing space for your Best Self, and putting time in the "Fun Bank!"
